  • Is an appointment with Babushka Ballerina required?
    Yes. We run by appointment to ensure all of our brides receive the very best one on one, personalised service to help find their dream gown. Unlike general retail, most of our garments require a great deal of care and assistance when being tried on to ensure the best possible fit.
  • Do appointments with Babushka Ballerina require a booking fee?
    All appointments at Babushka Ballerina require a standard charge of $25
  • Who can I bring to my appointment?
    Dress shopping can be an overwhelming experience at the best of times. We recommend bringing a team of 1-3 of your nearest and dearest to help you find your dream gown. This keeps your experience fun and ensures you won't be bombarded with other opinions.
  • What will happen if I’m late for my appointment?
    As we can be very busy with bookings through the day and always endeavour to run on time for our brides, we ask that you be sure to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your appointment to ensure you have time to settle in and browse the collections. There is available parking on site in the Rosalie Village complex. If you are running late, you can phone ahead or text our shop phone on 0432 509 798 to ensure your booking can still go ahead once you arrive. Running more than 15 minutes late to an appointment you may be required to reschedule your booking to another time.
  • What do I do if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment?
    Please contact our boutique staff at brisbane@babushkaballerina.com or on our shop phone 0432 509 798 to reschedule your time. Minimum 24 hour notice is required
  • What is the price range of Babushka Ballerina gowns?
    We stock a varied range of designers in store each carrying a slightly different price point, though most fall between $2400 - $7000
  • When is the best time to order my gown?
    Most brands stocked in store carry a lead time betwee 6 - 9 months for production, so be sure to visit us at least 9-10 months ahead of your wedding or contact us to discuss a rush order
  • Will I need alterations on my gown?
    As all of our gowns are made to standard sizing, most brides will require some alterations to achieve the perfect fit for your body. Our stylists are always on hand during your collection fitting to guide you through the best adjustments to be done with your tailor to achieve this.
  • Will Babushka Ballerina alter my gown for me?
    Babushka Ballerina do not offer alterations in house, though we do have a wonderful recommended seamstress in Brisbane CBD who assist with most of our clients. We would be happy to refer you to the team during your collection appointment
  • What can be done if my wedding is in a few months?
    Many of our brands offer rush orders sometimes as fast as 6 weeks. If you do require your order fast, please reach out to our sales team asap so we can assist you
  • What can be done if my wedding is in a few weeks?
    If your wedding is within a few weeks, each Boutique have a sale section of ex samples which are available to purchase at a discounted cost. There are also an option to purchase in house stock should we have some available. This can often be limited but possible non-the-less. Contact your local Boutique to find out more.
  • How long will I have to wait to receive my order?
    As all of our designers carry different lead times, your stylist will inform you of the estimated arrival at the time of your purchase. Generally speaking this will be between 6 - 9 months.
  • Can I get a refund if my wedding is cancelled or postponed?
    Unfortunately as all designs are made to order specially for you, we do not offer refunds on cancellations or postponements.
  • Do you sell bridesmaid dresses
    Unfortunately we no longer offer a bridesmaid range at Babushka Ballerina
